Remember back in the day when you spent time in the driveway with your parents working on the family car or motorcycle?! For many parents out there, the opportunity to teach kids about motorcycle repair or maintenance is non-exist these days. 

Here’s a look at a few things we will teach parents and kids about motorcycle repair and maintenance that will give them a sense of responsibility and pride.

We will introduce concepts of mechanics on real motorcycles while solving problems.

Using critical thinking to apply their new knowledge. Using active discussions, parents and kids will develop language and teamwork skills.

Classes are on a four-week format. The beginning of the course follows a presentation animated by true moto mechanics, in which parents and kids will learn about something different every week. The instructor is there to provide guidance and answer any questions they may have while encouraging questions and discussions.

• Mechanics that encourage problem solving and collaboration — skills that will give your child an edge in school and careers.
• How to clean and lubricate a motorcycle.
• How to load and unload a motorcycle in the back of a pick-up truck or trailer.
• They will have a hands-on experience as they learn maintenance or repair on a Yamaha motorcycle.
• They will learn about proper torque settings and where to find the information in the user manual.
• Class size is a minimum of 5 families and a maximum of 10.
